four

Our sweet diva turned four yesterday.

The above photo is at exactly 4 years old (she’s sleeping, as she was born in the middle of the night!)

Where have the years gone?

(this is the outfit she chose to wear in the morning, but she changed soon after since the straps kept slipping)

When she was first born, I held her in my arms, with so many hopes and dreams for a bright future.

Her intelligence constantly amazes me, her jokes keep me smiling, her creativity astounds me (in a good way!).

Happy 4th birthday, Princess :)

(Ariana told me that this picture “has to be there because my hair is silly!” Can’t argue with that!)

wordless wednesday: tea party

the best parts of waking up

(and no, Folgers is not, nor will it ever be, the best part of waking up for me)

365 project in review!

I decided at the end of 2010/ beginning of 2011 that I needed to get better about using my camera. Solution: take on Project 365 (you can check out this link for a little more info) and make a little photo documentary of an entire year.

Although I was never one to share my daily/ weekly/ monthly 365 photos online (mainly because I am lazy didn’t want to fill the blog with just day-in-the-life pictures!), I decided to share a photo from each month since I began this project on January 1st, 2011.

I’m afraid of bees. Oh & we bought Avatar.

I don’t know how many of you are familiar with The Provident Woman, but she and her husband are crazy keep bees and make honey and other products from their hives (more about that here).

They do things that millions of dollars, a bee suit inside an astronaut’s suit, or even my handsome husband could not tempt me to do.

You see, I am afraid of bees.

Happy Birthday, H.R.!

Today, my little ladybug turns one.

One year ago, at 4:30 AM, I called Anchorage’s L&D to make sure there was room for me to come down for my induction.  They gave me the go ahead to come in at 6 AM.

After a relaxing day filled with Pitocen plus a booster shot that made everything from my fingers to my ears numb, Harper Rose arrived at 5:52 PM.

I’m going to miss this…

Monday is now going to be “I’m going to miss this…” day. As long as I keep up with it. If I don’t, then “I’m going to miss this…” is going to be when I remember/ feel like it.

So here is what I’m going to miss:

our supergirl!

supergirl being silly for the camera

her 1st time in her toddler bed
