Hitting a wall.

Since I hit the 75-pound weight loss mark, I have been worried about reaching another plateau that would be hard to overcome.

And since life never works exactly the way we want it to, I injured my calf muscle and had to take a week off of running.  During that week, I barely counted calories & ended up splurging a lot more than I usually do.  I was sad, but not surprised, to see that I gained 0.6 pounds over the week.


This week, I decided that I had to at the very least walk the 3 miles I had been walking/jogging before.  I pushed myself and was thrilled that I didn’t up in pain :)

Today, thanks to an amazing twitter friend, I pushed myself harder and managed to take another 7 minutes off my time, meaning that I ran a personal best 5k.  It felt great and it was nice to see Terry’s surprised face when I came home nearly 10 minutes earlier than usual!

My only problem is hitting this weight plateau. Its frustrating, but I know that once I figure out how to overcome it, I am probably going to be in the home stretch for weight loss! Woo!

If you follow me on twitter, you know that my parents came for a visit last weekend.  It was great to see them & the girls loved their new books and toys!  We all had a blast & we were sad to see them go.  My mom had to buy a disposable camera because she forgot her camera at home, and Ariana was thrilled that there was finally a camera she could play with relatively safely!

  1. Dude, I’d kill to plateau at 75lbs! You are rockin’ that diet and weight loss! WTG! And I always wear panties on my head, isn’t that where they’re supposed to go?
